Danielie’s Casa Mia

It is a very unique Italian restaurant that is located in Sucat. The outside is quite simple and if you did not see the sign you will mistake it for a house but as soon as you get in the ambiance is very different and you will definitely feel like you were really in Italy. They serve the traditional oven baked Pizza, Italian Gelatto and Pasta. They do serve rice too but they have a very limited viand. The owner is very kind and he serves his customers first hand. I think everyone whose taste buds are like mine when it comes to Italian food should definitely try it.

Philippine Fashion Week 2012 presents The Ramp Crossings

Fashion is like history, geography and all the things I love combined.

I feel so happy because for the first time in my life I was able to visit SMX   and attend a fashion show. Special thanks to Vanessa for inviting me and to her friend slash my new friend Dana for the tickets. I really had fun especially when I get to hangout with Johnny slash V’s friend slash photographer and Nigs. And who could forget Felipe slash the model slash the new man of my dreams. I am really looking forward for next year’s fashion week.

Bon Chon

Now I know why their chicken is called the best chicken in America and why it is always full during weekends. You should try it.

JIM PAREDES A Photographic Ensemble

This was my very first photography seminar and I am happy to have it for free. It was not very technical that is why I appreciate it more since I am just a newbie in the photography scene.

I never really thought that Jim was also good when it comes to photography because he is more popular when it comes to singing but as they say once an artist always an artist. His talk was very direct and very simple. He said things which kind of inspired me and thought me to do better in my craft.

One of the things I learned is that a picture tells a story in whole new dimension. There are some pictures which we take because of what we feel, because of who are with and some because we just feel like taking it. It does not matter what camera we use whether a 3.5 mega pixel mobile phone camera or the latest Nikon, Canon, Olympus or whatever for as long as our picture has a story definitely we are in the right track. I also learned that  completely opposite things do work e.g rough, smooth, black, white and simple stories are good stories, in short a simple picture is a good picture and of course the difference between snapshots and photos.

Lastly, the two most memorable quotes that he left with us “Never be afraid to experiment! Be accident prone.”  You do not know maybe accidents aren’t so bad after all. And “Everyone can have a camera but not everyone can be a photographer.” It was like an English version of the popular facebook saying “Hindi porket may DSLR camera ka ay photographer ka na.”  I do not know how you will perceive it but I guess it is very very awakening especially to those people who use a professional camera to boast.

Banana Split at Aristocrat

A picture paints a thousand words and at this very moment I will let the picture speak for itself. I just posted this because I really can’t get over on how enticing and how delicious this banana split from Aristocrat was. I hope you crave for it.
